Linen is one of the oldest fabrics we have in our modern wardrobe.
It is often mentioned in Biblical Days and was used as currency and traded, because it was so highly valued.
Linen has so many virtues that it is hard to believe that it went through a time of scarcity and has only made a resurgence in the last few years.
I personally have items in my wardrobe that are 20 plus years old and the styles are timeless....And YES, I do still wear these items!!
Best reasons to wear Linen:
* Linen is a natural fibre made from the stalks of the flax plant- it is renewable; easy to grow and environmentally friendly
*Linen breathes- the fibres allow air to circulate under the clothing to keep the wearer feeling fresher & cooler
*Dries quickly and resistant to sunlight so excellent for hot weather clothing
*Can be pressed or worn with a slightly rumpled "Look" that has become popular with holiday makers
*It accepts dyes readily.
Having built a business around Linen, I would have to be a Linen Lover, but with the properties of the fibre its not hard to see why the demand for Linen Clothing has firmly established itself.
